Former Pakistani Cricketer Calls for Aqib Javed’s Removal From PCB

Former Pakistani cricketer Saeed Ajmal has harshly criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for their management of the national team during the ongoing Test series against England. Ajmal specifically targeted the removal of Director of High Performance Aqib Javed from his position, urging for his dismissal. He expressed disappointment over the significant changes made to the team during the series, asserting that such decisions should have been made after the conclusion of the tour.

Ajmal deemed the approach unprofessional and difficult to comprehend, suggesting that the frequent changes to the squad, coaching staff, and selection setup reflect poorly on Pakistan cricket. He also addressed the controversy surrounding Imam-ul-Haq, emphasizing that if any wrongdoing is proven, the opener should face strict punishment to set a precedent for other players.

Additionally, Ajmal questioned the PCB's decision to remove Sarfaraz Ahmed while continuing to support Mike Hesson, despite Pakistan's performances in white-ball cricket. He asked, "Sarfaraz has been removed from the coaching staff, but you are praising Mike Hesson. What results has Mike Hesson delivered in white-ball cricket?"
