Christian Council calls for state support for National Cathedral

The Christian Council of Ghana has urged the Ghanaian government to support the construction of the National Cathedral, regardless of political differences. During a meeting with the Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mahama Ayariga, the Council's General Secretary, Rev. Dr Cyril Fayose, emphasized that Christians in Ghana are willing to support the project, alongside international organizations and donor partners.

However, Rev. Dr Fayose stressed that the government's assistance is crucial to progress the project. He urged the Minister to set aside politics and create an environment conducive to the National Cathedral's completion. Rev. Dr Fayose expressed confidence that with all stakeholders' support, the project could be finished. He also prayed for the Minister and hoped his administration would aid in realizing the project.
