Carney's 'hydronym' moment is behind a cheeky campaign to raise awareness about Lake Ontario
Riding on Prime Minister Mark Carney's use of the proper word for a body of water, a London, Ont., company has created T-shirts emblazoned with "My hydronyms are Lake and Ontario." A portion of the apparel sales proceeds go to Swim Drink Fish Canada, a charity that connects people with the lake, and works to keep it safe and clean.
