The Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) party will unveil their budget proposals on October 6th, with their leader Rafizi Ramli emphasizing the need to focus on improving the country's power system. Speaking to journalists, Rafizi stated that the public should be able to examine the fiscal and energy plans presented in the budget, and assess whether the nation can execute the proposed programs.

Part of the proposed budget will aim to repair the current power system, which has been inherited from previous governments. Rafizi is confident that the budget will demonstrate how fiscal space can be utilized, and how the nation's welfare can be enhanced. Unlike several other countries, Malaysia does not have an independent body to evaluate the costs and financial implications of a political party's election manifesto.

In other nations, such a body exists, and can assess the expenses of a specific pledge or policy proposal.

Bersama aims to launch its foundational platform on September 27th with the first Kancil Paper, which will analyze issues related to the economic, political, and social structures, and propose solutions that Rafizi believes will differentiate Bersama's approach from other political parties. The party hopes that this approach will encourage other parties to engage in substantive debate and solutions, rather than pandering to ethnic or religious sentiment.

The 2027 budget is scheduled to be presented to Parliament on October 9th.
