Beberapa individu ditahan berkait RCI TH akan didakwa

Malaysia's Anti-Corruption Agency (SPRM) has announced that several individuals previously detained in connection with a recent report by the Royal Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (RCI) on the Tabung Haji (TH) will face charges in Shah Alam High Court and Kuala Lumpur High Court on Thursday and Friday, respectively. The charges against these individuals relate to allegations of abusing power, misrepresentation, and fraudulent trading of Tabung Haji-related funds in TH Marine, TH Alam, and TH Alam Management worth a total of RM334.2 million.

One more charge accuses one individual of holding 30% of Tabung Haji shares in Putrajaya Perdana Berhad.

More details will become available once the cases are filed, said Abd Halim Aman, the SPRM Commissioner, during a press briefing at SPRM headquarters in Putrajaya. Aside from this, Aman stated that another investigation involving investment and levy of Tabung Haji in the Al-Rawda Real Estate Development and Project Management Company Limited, including hotel levies in Mecca and Medina, is expected to be charged next week.

This case involves VIP individuals, Aman added. Meanwhile, Berita Harian reported that as many as 11 individuals were detained so far in the follow-up probe to the RCI TH report. These individuals include a former minister who was remanded for five days at the High Court in Putrajaya, former TH deputy secretaries, former TH company secretaries, former TH chief operating officers, former TH general managers, former TH corporate and service sector managers, and former TH legal advisors.

The arrests also include former TH deputy general managers of the corporate and service sectors and former TH legal advisors.
