Several individuals previously detained for investigating a report by the Royal Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (RCI) on the Tabung Haji (TH) are set to be charged in Shah Alam and Kuala Lumpur Sessions Courts on Thursday and Friday, according to Abd Halim Aman, the head of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM). The charges against them involve allegations of abuse of power and misleading investment in TH Marine, TH Alam, and TH Alam Management, with a total investment value of RM334.2 million.

Another charge involves the possession of 30% of TH's shares in Putrajaya Perdana Berhad. When the cases are registered, more details will be known, said Aman during a media briefing at SPRM headquarters in Putrajaya, according to Astro Awani. Additionally, Aman mentioned another investigation related to investment and taxation of TH in Al-Rawda Real Estate Development and Project Management Company Limited, including a hotel in Mecca and Medina worth SAR2.49 billion (RM2.68 billion), which is expected to be charged next week.

Some of these individuals are VIPs, he said. Meanwhile, Berita Harian reported that up to now, a total of 11 individuals have been detained by SPRM in investigations following the presentation of the RCI TH report. Among them is a former minister who was remanded for five days at the High Court in Putrajaya. Other detained individuals include former TH managers, Putrajaya Perdana Berhad executives, former TH chairmen, former Putrajaya Perdana Berhad managers, TH operations chief, and former senior vice president of TH.

The arrests also include former senior vice presidents of the TH Corporate Affairs and Services Department, two former senior vice presidents of the TH Corporate Affairs and Services Department, and former TH legal advisors.
