Ankit Baliyan Murder Case: UP Minister Meets Family, Says No Criminal Will Be Spared

In Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, the family of Ankit Baliyan met with a state minister on September 2 to discuss the recent murder. Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, visited the village to console the grieving family. He expressed deep condolences and stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took the incident seriously, directing immediate action against the criminals involved.

Minister Agarwal emphasized that Uttar Pradesh has a zero tolerance policy towards criminals, and no person can escape the law after committing a crime. The accused in the Ankit Baliyan murder case have already been arrested, but according to Agarwal, they attempted to flee and fired at the police team, sustaining injuries during the encounter. He assured that strict action will be taken against all involved and any conspirators, if evidence surfaces.

Family members confirmed identifying the sharp shooter who allegedly killed Ankit. They expressed relief over the police's swift action, noting that they will mourn Ankit's absence on significant festivals. The minister dismissed accusations from the opposition that the police encounter was politically motivated, stating that it is not appropriate to politicize a family's hour of grief.

If there are any factual questions about the police action, a demand for an inquiry is acceptable, but questioning the government's zero-tolerance policy without evidence is not appropriate.

Agarwal reiterated that under Yogi Adityanath's leadership, the state government follows a zero-tolerance policy towards criminals, and they will not hesitate to take strict legal action against those found guilty in the Ankit Baliyan murder case, regardless of their influence.
