2,000 keluar parti? Lebih kurang 30 orang sahaja, kata Larry Sng

Parti Pemuda Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) has denied claims that over 2,000 members have left the youth wing to join the Wawasan movement. Only around 30 individuals are believed to have done so, according to Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) President Larry Sng, who shared the statement on Facebook. The news comes in the wake of a declaration by PBM Pemuda leader Hanis Asmui regarding the self-liquidation of the party's youth division at the national, state, and branch levels.

Hanis, who also relinquished the roles of PBM Pemuda chief, Johor deputy chairman, and Muar branch chief, explained that the decision was reached through mutual agreement and voluntary consent. The party leader cited growing dissatisfaction with the current leadership, which she believed had distorted the party's core beliefs, particularly regarding religious and ethnic issues.

Hanis attributed the situation to various statements made by senior party members, who were perceived as weak and misleading, especially in matters of religion and ethnicity. She emphasized that the party leadership no longer reflects the aspirations of the grassroots and failed to demonstrate a serious commitment to the comprehensive reform agenda necessary at this time.

Hanis added that they chose Wawasan as it offers a broader political stability agenda, helps bridge gaps between ethnic groups, and unites Malay political parties like PAS and Umno. For them, Wawasan represents a major agenda for political stability and a bridge to unite Malay political parties like PAS and Umno, while also addressing the racial divide in Malaysia.
