Worli Koliwada Garbage Issue: Shiv Sena Launches Year-Long Cleanliness Campaign After Residents’ Complaints

Mumbai's Worli Koliwada neighborhood is facing a cleanliness crisis, prompting the Shiv Sena to launch a year-long campaign to address the issue. Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Sachin Ahir led a beach clean-up in the area on Tuesday, promising a sustained effort to maintain cleanliness throughout the year. A recent visit by MP Shrikanr Shinde to Worli Koliwada revealed concerns over garbage accumulation, inadequate sanitation, and potential health risks.

In response, Shiv Sena office-bearers and workers have been dispatched to inspect the locality and implement corrective measures. The Shiv Sena team's intervention has also sparked questions about the absence of Worli MLA Aaditya Thackeray during the ongoing sanitation concerns in his constituency. Ahir has also criticized the Opposition for allegedly deleting around two crore names from electoral rolls, questioning the role of Opposition-appointed Booth Level Officers and urging political parties to verify electoral rolls and help citizens restore their names through the prescribed procedure.
