Woman Felt Perfectly Healthy, Then Doctors Made a Shocking Discovery

35-year-old Kat Steverson of Florida was recently diagnosed with stage 3B cervical cancer, despite feeling completely healthy. Stage 3B cancer refers to the spread of cancer from the cervix into surrounding structures or lymph nodes. Steverson noticed irregular spotting and bleeding between her menstrual cycles, but did not realize this could be a sign of cancer.

When she visited a doctor to address the issue, she was shocked to learn she had a 10 centimeter tumor. Despite having a clear pap smear eight months prior, the new investigation revealed the cancer. Steverson emphasizes the importance of attending regular check-ups for early detection and treatment. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy for the next two years.
