West Ham beat Wolves for first Championship win

West Ham delivered their first Championship win of the season, defeating Wolves 4-2 at the London Stadium. Manchester City's Divine Mukasa was the standout player, netting twice to lead his new team to victory. Wolves, one of the two teams relegated from the Premier League last season, started the campaign with more promise, but West Ham bounced back from their poor start by securing two points.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men were aided by a penalty from Jarrod Bowen, while Marshall Munetsi pulled a goal back for the visiting side. Mukasa's deflected effort and Konstantinos Mavropanos' strike further widened the West Ham lead, with Munetsi scoring his own goal to seal the win. After the match, West Ham climbed to 11th in the table, whereas Wolves settled for third place.

Elsewhere, Swansea defeated Watford 2-0 to claim the top spot, thanks to goals from Eom Ji-sung and Adam Idah. Southampton's progress up the table was halted by a 1-1 draw at Birmingham, with Keven Schlotterbeck scoring for Saints and August Priske equalizing for the Blues. Bristol City's impressive form secured their fifth position after an impressive 3-1 win over Preston, while Sheffield United edged out Bolton 3-2 thanks to a stoppage time goal from Romelle Donovan.
