Ipswich sign Burnley forward Flemming for £20m

Ipswich has officially signed Burnley forward Zian Flemming for a reported fee of £20 million. The 28-year-old striker has committed to a four-year contract with the English Premier League side. Last season, Fleming scored 11 times in the league for Burnley, who faced relegation. So far this campaign, he has netted three goals in the first four games.

Ipswich manager Gary O'Neil expressed his enthusiasm about bringing Flemming to the club. He praised the striker's impressive first season, calling him a great addition to the squad as they strengthen their roster. O'Neil stated, "He has good quality and experience and has started the new season well."

Burnley manager Nicky Yayen had previously urged Flemming to stay with the club. After Burnley's victory over West Ham in August, Yayen specifically mentioned Flemming, who joined Burnley from Millwall for £7 million in 2025, to remain with the team. Flemming expressed his pride in signing for Ipswich, saying, "I played in the Premier League last season and really enjoyed my first season at the top level, competing against the best players and teams in the world, so I am delighted to now be back in there with a great club like Ipswich."

With this signing, Ipswich currently boasts 12 new additions to their summer transfer list.
