In the latest Weekly Vessel Valuations Report dated September 1, 2026, several significant vessel sales took place, with values varying according to size and type. The Capesize Jian Fa, a 175,100 DWT vessel built in 2004, was sold to South Korean buyers for USD 18.5 million, with a Valuation Value (VV) of USD 18.8 million. Panamax Ivestos 9, a 75,100 DWT vessel constructed in 2008, was purchased by Chinese buyers for USD 11.9 million, boasting a VV of USD 12.1 million.

The Supramax Marianna, measuring 55,800 DWT and built in 2010, was sold by Byzantine Maritime for USD 17 million, with a VV of USD 17.9 million. The Supramax Spar Scorpio, a 53,600 DWT vessel from 2006, was bought by Chinese buyers for USD 11.5 million, with a VV of USD 10.9 million. Handysize Devbulk Sinem, an 38,000 DWT vessel built in 2013, was sold to Turkish buyers for USD 14.8 million, with a VV of USD 15.0 million.

The tanker segment predominantly saw flat values this week. However, two segments experienced a modest increase in values. Suezmax Suez Ice Supreme, a 146,500 DWT vessel from 2007, was sold to undisclosed UAE buyers for USD 56.0 million, with a VV of USD 58.7 million. Aframax Seasenator, a 105,700 DWT vessel built in 2007, was sold by Valles Steamship for USD 38.0 million, with a VV of USD 39.8 million.

MR2, a Chemical/Product tanker named PM Regent with a 49,900 DWT capacity and built in 2018, was sold by Quantum Global for USD 45.5 million, with a VV of USD 45.6 million. Older Panamax Container values saw an uptick this week following a recent sale. Panamax Container Navios Jasmine, with a capacity of 4,730 TEU and built in May 2008, was sold by New Century for USD 34.5 million, with a VV of USD 33.2 million.
