US teen charged with aiding mosque shooters share livestream, manifesto

In North Carolina, a 17-year-old girl named Sarah Santiago has been indicted by a grand jury on Monday. The charges include three counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. These allegations stem from her alleged involvement in aiding two other teenagers, Caleb Vazquez, 18, and Cain Clark, 17, in planning and executing a shooting spree at the Islamic Center of San Diego in California on May 18.

According to the indictment, Santiago is accused of facilitating the livestream of the attack and later dispersing the recordings on the internet. She is also charged with releasing the attackers' manifesto. The California teenagers killed three men during the attack and killed themselves shortly after.

The jury's indictment states that Santiago purchased a patch featuring a pro-Nazi Sonnenrad design for Vazquez, which he wore during the attacks. The jury further alleges that Santiago aided the attackers in planning a thwarted attack on a Jewish temple and on African-American high school students. As a result of these charges, Santiago will be treated as an adult in the legal proceedings.
