US teen charged with aiding mosque shooters share livestream, manifesto

On Monday, a jury in North Carolina indicted a 17-year-old girl named Sarah Santiago for allegedly aiding two other teenagers, Caleb Vazquez and Cain Clark, in livestreaming and carrying out a shooting attack on a mosque in San Diego, California in May. The attack resulted in the deaths of three men, including a security guard. Santiago is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder related to the attack.

She is also accused of disseminating the attackers' recordings on the internet and releasing their manifesto. According to the indictment, Santiago purchased a patch featuring a pro-Nazi Sonnenrad design for Vazquez, which he wore during the attacks. The jury further alleges that Santiago helped plan an unrealized attack on a Jewish temple and on African-American high school students. As a result of the charges, Santiago will be tried as an adult.
