Toxic Box Office Collection Day 6: Yash & Kiara Advani's Film Sees 67.6% Drop On First Monday Amid Criticism, Collects ₹7.45 Crore

On the sixth day of its theatrical run, Yash and Kiara Advani's film Toxic continued to see a significant drop in box office collections. According to Sacnilk, the movie took in around Rs 7.45 crore across 13,400 shows in India, marking a sharp 67.6% decrease from the previous day when it collected approximately Rs 23 crore. The highest share of earnings came from Hindi-speaking areas, with Rs 4.40 crore, followed by Kannada at Rs 2 crore, Telugu at Rs 68 lakh, Tamil at Rs 30 lakh, and Malayalam at around Rs 7 lakh.

Despite the disappointing performance, the film's total India gross collection has reached Rs 264.80 crore, while its net collection stands at Rs 221.55 crore. Overseas, Toxic has earned approximately Rs 2 crore on Day 6, increasing its overseas gross total to Rs 39.25 crore, with a worldwide gross collection of Rs 304.05 crore.

While the makers have not disclosed the film's budget, reports suggest that it was produced on a massive budget of around Rs 500 crore. Although crossing Rs 300 crore worldwide is an impressive milestone, Toxic still has a long way to go to recover its reported investment and achieve profitability. Critics and audiences have been mixed in their reviews of the film, with The Free Press Journal awarding it 2 stars and deeming it "an unbearable watch" due to weak screenplay, direction, lack of emotional connection, and an overly long runtime.
