CBS placed him on indefinite leave following the incident, which has left many questions about his future with the network.

CBS Sports president David Berson stated that they were still evaluating the situation, with no timeline or final decision on Romo's return. In his social media statement, Romo expressed his gratitude for the support of his family, friends, and the NFL community, asking for privacy as he focuses on his health and family matters.
