Three killed as Proton Aeroback plunges into ravine on Lahad Datu forest road

LAHAD DATU, Malaysia - Three men lost their lives and another sustained injuries when their Proton Aeroback vehicle crashed and tumbled into a ravine on Jalan Hutan Simpan Bagahak, according to the Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station chief, Sumsoa Rashid. The incident occurred on September 1st at 7:38 pm, with the rescue team reaching the site nearly an hour later at 8:16 pm.

The Proton Aeroback had reportedly skidded while navigating a curve, causing it to plunge into a ravine approximately five meters deep. The Ministry of Health Malaysia confirmed the identities of the deceased victims as three adult males, while one adult male was rushed to the hospital for further medical attention. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to the police, and the rescue operation came to an end at 8:45 pm.
