Sony expands its ULT line with 3 new tower speakers built for massive bass

Sony has introduced three new tower speakers to its ULT line, designed specifically for parties and DJs who crave massive bass. These new additions are the ULT Tower Max, ULT Tower 7, and ULT Tower 5.

The ULT Tower Max is an all-in-one traveling DJ machine that replaces the 2024 ULT Tower 10. Priced at $1,499.99, it boasts three 280-millimeter woofers, two midrange drivers, and four tweeters. Weighing 121 pounds, it features four handles and wheels, a splash-proof top panel, 360 Party Sound, a 10-band equalizer, RCA, XLR, and Party Chain connectivity.

The mid-sized ULT Tower 7 replaces the SRS-XV800 and costs $649, matching its predecessor's price. It also has a 280-millimeter woofer, two midrange drivers, and four tweeters. At 50 pounds, it includes four handles and wheels, IPX4 water resistance, and the same Party Chain and 360 Party Sound features as its larger counterparts.

Finally, the ULT Tower 5 targets smaller parties, offering loud, room-filling sound. It supersedes the SRS-XV500 and retails for $449, a $50 price increase from the XV500. With a 230-millimeter woofer, two midrange drivers, and two tweeters, it weighs just 29 pounds. Like the others, it features four handles, IPX4 water resistance, Party Chain connectivity, and the 360 Party Sound system with a 10-band equalizer.
