PM’s GDP video: A dig at Rahul Gandhi, ‘avoid gold, foreign travel’ advice

Modi cited the latest GDP figures, which indicated a 7.8% expansion in real Gross Domestic Product for the first quarter of FY27, as evidence of India's progress. The Prime Minister accused some individuals of spreading "lies" while India continued to advance.

Modi's remarks aimed at Gandhi's nationwide "Chhatron Ki Goonj" initiative, which aimed to address various examination-related issues faced by students. The BJP leader also advocated for avoiding foreign travel and destination weddings in India, emphasizing the need to support domestic growth and local businesses. He urged citizens to contribute to the country's development by adhering to the "swadeshi" and "vocal for local" principles.

The Prime Minister expressed pride in India's robust economic momentum, attributing the growth to the collective efforts and hard work of the nation's workforce. He further encouraged Indians to avoid unnecessary gold purchases, as he believed a stronger emphasis on "swadeshi" would lead to a more prosperous "Viksit Bharat" by the country's 100th anniversary.
