PH perlu lihat langkaui BN, teroka kerjasama selari prinsip, kata pemimpin PKR

PKR leader Yuneswaran Ramaraj urged Pakatan Harapan (PH) to seriously explore cooperation with Barisan Nasional (BN), particularly if Umno strengthens ties with Perikatan Nasional (PN). According to the Pakatan Harapan Deputy Leader, PH should open up opportunities for other political parties sharing principles and aims of reform, democracy, good governance, and national interests. PH must seriously pursue cooperation that is not tied to narrow identity politics and move towards performance-based politics, he told FMT.

Yuneswaran commented on Amanah Faiz Fadzil's statement that PH needs to expand the 'big tent' concept by seeking new political partners if Umno chooses to bolster cooperation with PN. As deputy minister of unity, he added that PH must be prepared for all possibilities if BN decides to cooperate with other parties. He reminded that PH's political framework must reflect Malaysia's diversity and be broad enough to bring together various communities and political traditions under a national vision.

This development comes amid speculation over renewed political realignment between PAS and its ally within PN and PH. Despite being part of the coalition government with PH, BN-PN alternates have created competition for PH in recent PRN elections in Johor and Negeri Sembilan. PAS President Hadi Awang reportedly said on August 23 that talks on cooperation between PN and BN to face the upcoming PRN Melaka have begun.
