Osun warns against fake sports trust fund website

The Osun State Government has issued an alert concerning a fraudulent website masquerading as the "Osun State Sports Trust Fund". The site, osunsportstrustfund.com, has been described as unauthorized, unowned, and unoperated by the state government. In a statement released on Tuesday, the administration cautioned the public against engaging with the platform, urging them to disregard any information, requests, or fundraising appeals originating from the site.

The warning stems from the state's prior intentions to establish a Sports Trust Fund as part of its strategy to develop a sustainable financial framework for sports in Osun. Governor Ademola Adeleke reaffirmed his endorsement of the UNIOSUN VC for an additional two years up to 2027.
