Online marketplace Ozon offers sellers space in Kazakhstan warehouses after Ukrainian drone strikes hit its Russian logistics centers

The online marketplace Ozon has provided sellers with the option to store their goods in warehouses located in Almaty and Astana, Kazakhstan, following Ukrainian drone strikes on its Russian logistics centers. According to the company's press service, this move will enable efficient delivery of orders to customers in Russia and boost sales in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan due to faster local delivery for Ozon customers.

Ozon highlighted several benefits of utilizing Kazakhstan's warehouses, such as delivering goods to Russia within a few days, without any shipment restrictions, and free transportation of goods to Almaty and Astana until September 30. The Ukrainian attacks on Ozon's warehouses began in late August, starting with a strike on a logistics center in the Samara region, followed by assaults on warehouses in other regions.

Subsequently, Ozon announced its intention to stock and sell products directly from its pickup points across the country, transforming them into small logistics centers. With over 80,000 pickup points operating nationwide, Ozon aims to enhance its logistics network and better serve its customers in the region.
