The NRD announced today that the printing disruption is anticipated to persist from today until Sept 7. As a consequence, the department recommends that individuals who do not require an immediate replacement or renewal of their MyKad postpone such transactions during this time frame.

Furthermore, parents or guardians of first-time applicants, especially children turning 12, are advised to delay their applications until the new-generation MyKad becomes accessible.
