Despite not all Meta employees building AI agents at the moment, the company believes that everyone will benefit from a robust and useful agent ecosystem. This move is a significant boost for Slack's owner, Salesforce, which has been heavily investing in AI features and products since acquiring Slack for $27.7 billion in 2021. Additionally, the migration highlights how Slack has successfully capitalized on the current trend of AI agents, making it easy for users to integrate AI agents into the platform for automating tasks, requesting data, and providing teams with updates.
