Man City sign Everton's Ndiaye - but is he worth £65m?

Manchester City have completed the signing of Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye for a fee of up to £65 million. The 26-year-old Senegal international, who joined Everton from Marseille in 2024, has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium. Speaking about the move, Ndiaye expressed his excitement, stating, "City are one of the best clubs in the world and I've seen them win everything as I've grown up.

Despite his impressive career statistics with Everton, including 74 appearances and 21 goals, some argue that Ndiaye's current output may not justify the £65 million price tag. His goal contribution ranked joint third at Everton, behind only Beto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, while his creative output was middling. However, Ndiaye's skill set is highly regarded, with 73 of Everton's 250 completed dribbles last season attributed to him.

The move to Manchester City comes as the club continues to break transfer records, including the £125 million fee paid for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
