The group, which consists of Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Phillip Sweet, and Kimberly Schlapman, attended the July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden. Fairchild and Schlapman described the event as "unforgettable," praising the newlyweds for their apparent happiness.

Their friendship with Swift dates back to her 2016 hit "Better Man," which the band performed and earned song of the year at the 2017 CMA Awards. The country stars' journey to New York City was filled with musical moments, including singing along to Swift's "Love Story" during the ride. Upon arrival, they abandoned their footwear at the reception, dancing barefoot.
