Las Letras a un año vuelan al 2,83%, el nivel más alto en dos años

Spanish bond yields climb to 2.83%, their highest level in two years, amid growing market expectations of prolonged high interest rates in the Eurozone. In the first September Treasury auction, the medium-term rate for one-year bonds surged to 2.83% from 2.66% in August. Twelve-month bond yields also reached their highest level in two years, climbing to 3% during several instances in August.

The demand for six-month and twelve-month bonds exceeded 1.6 times the amount placed, with the Treasury selling 4.4 billion euros in one-year bonds and 2.095 billion in six-month bonds.
