Interior Ministry showcases integrated security system with advanced tech at LEAP 2026
Saudi Interior Ministry unveils vision for connected, tech-driven security and safety solutions at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh.
The Saudi Interior Ministry displayed a vision for an integrated, tech-driven security and safety solution at the LEAP 2026 exhibition in Riyadh. The ministry aimed to evolve technology from isolated tools into interconnected capabilities that enhance security, empower personnel, improve efficiency, advance services, and strengthen decision-making.
The systems, operating in a dynamic environment, monitor, analyze, respond, and support decision-making, extending from the field to command centers and from roads to the broader community. The ministry showcased six interconnected systems: field security and safety, rapid response, traffic safety, security cameras, digital services, and institutional services.
These systems branch out into 36 services and projects. Artificial intelligence has become crucial in enhancing data value, moving beyond mere information collection to analysis and indicator extraction for informed decision-making and responses. The ministry displayed technologies like the mobile security checkpoint Sprinter vehicle, drones for monitoring, and bomb disposal robots, emphasizing the functional impact over the tools themselves.
This system symbolizes a shift in security work—moving from reactive to proactive, utilizing technology, data, and AI for monitoring, analysis, and response. The ministry concluded that people are both the starting point and ultimate goal of employing technology, offering security personnel additional tools, safety and services to the community, easier and faster services to beneficiaries, and clearer insights for decision-makers.
