Ruth Kadiri, a Nollywood actress and producer, has shared her thoughts on her decision to keep her marriage private. In an interview on the Dear Ife podcast, the mother of two revealed that she was once afraid of marriage. Kadiri explained that she was hesitant about whether her marriage would work out and feared that a bad decision could lead to a disastrous outcome. These worries led her to avoid a highly publicized wedding or relationship.

Kadiri stated that her fear of marriage was rooted in the uncertainty of the future and the potential for things to fall apart. This phobia prompted her to have a private ceremony with only 50 guests, as she wanted to avoid unnecessary drama and attention surrounding her relationship. Her husband, Mr Ezerika, supported her choice to keep their private lives away from public scrutiny and agreed on inviting only 25 people to their wedding ceremony.

In 2018, Kadiri and her husband exchanged vows in a private ceremony. The couple had their first daughter in August 2019 and their second daughter in July 2022. Since then, Ruth Kadiri has kept her family life relatively private, choosing to maintain a low profile when it comes to her marriage.
