Hoyer VMS Group and Kongsberg Maritime strengthen authorised service cooperation

Hoyer VMS Group and Kongsberg Maritime have extended their existing partnership through a multi-year agreement, strengthening their cooperation in the Propulsion and Handling sectors. The expanded authorized scope of Hoyer VMS Group covers agreed products and services within the chosen market segments and territories, allowing for more opportunities in service assignments.

The collaboration aims to complement Kongsberg Maritime's service organization and ensure timely service execution while preserving the OEM's technical standards.

The agreement is a natural fit for both companies, as Kristian Kaasing Larsen, CCO Project Sales/Aftermarket at Hoyer VMS Group, highlights. He emphasizes the high level of trust between the two entities and the positive impact the agreement will have on all parties involved.

For Kongsberg Maritime, the priority is to provide customers with reliable access to qualified support while maintaining the technical standards they expect from the OEM. Anders Troels Skjoldborg, VP Partnerships – Global Customer Support at Kongsberg Maritime, explains that Hoyer VMS Group brings local service capability and maritime expertise to selected assignments within the agreed scope, enabling the companies to respond flexibly to peak demand or additional capacity requirements.

Under the agreement, Hoyer VMS Group becomes an authorized service partner for Kongsberg Maritime in the Propulsion and Handling sectors, within the defined markets and territories. Additionally, Hoyer VMS Group may sell selected original Kongsberg Maritime spare parts within the agreed upon scope, market segments, and territories.

The cooperation is set to span several markets, including China, the USA, and Brazil, subject to the authorized scope and relevant approvals. In Brazil, the two companies together employ around 200 staff, with Hoyer VMS Group having recently bolstered its local service organization.
