How Karol G’s Sister & Co-Manager Jessica Giraldo Balances the Personal & Professional: ‘I’m Looking Out for Her’

Just a few days after launching her second global stadium tour, Karol G caught her fans off guard with an announcement for a brand new album, titled "No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto." The 14-track collection, featuring standout collaborations with Drake and Bruno Mars, was released on August 7 and rocketed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart, as well as securing the eighth spot on the Billboard 200.

The album also dominated the Hot Latin Songs chart, with 13 entries, including the singles "Ahí" (featuring Drake) and "BbY WOW" (featuring Judeline and Rusowsky).

At the heart of these accomplishments is Jessica Giraldo Navarro, Karol G's sister and co-manager of her record label, Bichota Records. As CEO of Bichota Records and Karol's co-manager, Giraldo Navarro is responsible for the label's global strategy, which includes overseeing musical, creative, commercial, and entertainment projects, from conceptualization to execution.

She coordinates with internal teams, labels, agencies, partners, and other strategic allies, participates in key decisions about releases, collaborations, tours, content, marketing, communications, and brand partnerships, and manages budgets. Giraldo Navarro also plays a crucial role in maintaining both Karol's image and Bichota Records' long-term vision, turning artistic vision into strategy, business, and execution.

Billboard Español had the opportunity to speak with Giraldo Navarro about Karol G's recent achievements and initiatives. She described the past August as a "rollercoaster," emphasizing that the last three months had been non-stop work. This included launching the tour, aligning creative elements, fine-tuning the tour, and strategizing the surprise album release. Giraldo Navarro stressed the importance of her role in ensuring Karol G's artistic vision is upheld and translated into successful business and execution.
