Father mulls legal action after son dies from suspected electrocution at futsal court

KUALA SELANGOR: A 15-year-old futsal player has died after possibly being electrocuted at a local court, prompting his father to consider legal action. Norramin Senin, 49, expressed his hope that his son, Muhammad Anas Muazim, would be the sole victim, and he wished no one else would face the same tragic fate. At around 10pm last night, Anas was believed to have touched a lamp post with an electric current while resting during a game, causing him to collapse.

The court, a popular gathering place for all ages and backgrounds, was used by many people, including Anas and his friends.

Anas was laid to rest at the Bestari Jaya Muslim cemetery at 3pm, following his death. Norramin recounted the events, saying he found his son unconscious after receiving a call from his second child at around 10pm. He attempted CPR before contacting an ambulance and performing further resuscitation attempts. Despite his efforts, the young boy was already gone, and he had shown no signs of behavioral change prior to the incident.

Norramin described Anas as a cheerful and friendly individual who enjoyed joking with his siblings and was well-known in the community. The police chief, Superintendent Azaharudin Tajudin, confirmed that the cause of death was consistent with electrocution and that no foul play was involved. The case has been classified as sudden death.
