The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed over 40 staff members for their involvement in corruption and financial malfeasance over the past two and a half years, according to the commission's chairman, Ola Olukoyede. The chairman disclosed this to media executives and journalists in Abuja, stating that more than five of the dismissed staff are currently facing prosecution.
Olukoyede emphasized that the aim was to maintain the highest standards of integrity among the agency's personnel while investigating and prosecuting corruption cases.
