Dolphins keep adding ex-Packers players, sign 2 to practice squad

The Miami Dolphins continue to expand their roster with former Green Bay Packers players, adding two individuals to their practice squad. Wide receiver Will Sheppard, 24, and cornerback Jaylin Simpson have both signed with the Dolphins. Sheppard, who previously played in the preseason, finished the three-game stretch with nine receptions for 73 yards and two touchdowns.

Simpson, a 2024 Indianapolis Colts draft pick, was released by the Colts during roster cuts and subsequently signed with the Packers' practice squad. He spent most of the year on that squad before making the Week 18 appearance against the Minnesota Vikings, recording eight tackles. The Dolphins are not the only team signing former Packers, as the New York Giants acquired Darian Kinnard, the Cleveland Browns added Messiah Swinson, the Tennessee Titans brought in Shemar Bartholomew, and the Washington Commanders signed Isaac Yiadom.
