Cats coach speaks for first time since club's concussion fine

Geelong coach Chris Scott has spoken for the first time since his club was fined $140,000 for failing to officially notify the AFL about Jake Kolodjashnij's concussion waiver in his contract. Scott has not specified whether Kolodjashnij, who has not played an AFL match since the saga emerged, will return to the team for the finals.

The dual premiership coach emphasized that he has chosen to remain impartial in the matter, stating that he believes his involvement would not be helpful. Kolodjashnij returned to the squad last week ahead of the finals. Scott acknowledged the club's position of accepting certain aspects of the situation and moving forward. The club was also fined $40,000 and issued a suspended sanction following an investigation into the club's third-party agreements last October. Geelong will face Carlton in an elimination final at the MCG on Friday night.
