Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta Extended

Infinity Ward, the developer behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, has extended the playable beta for the upcoming first-person shooter until 10 PM Pacific Time tonight or 1 AM Eastern Time tomorrow morning. In a post on the studio's X account, Infinity Ward acknowledged the ongoing efforts of players grinding out beta rewards and camos, extending the duration as a token of appreciation. The #MW4 Open Beta will remain active with double experience and weapon experience bonuses until the extended period concludes.

The beta has undergone recent updates, addressing concerns related to the Time to Kill (TTK) and weapon tweaking, building upon earlier changes introduced last week. This year's beta stands out due to a fan-favorite character's haircut generating controversy, alongside the inclusion of a single-player mission for the first time ever.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for release on October 23, with pre-order holders gaining access to the campaign starting October 16. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2; however, it will not be part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on its launch day this year.
