BofA vice president Piacenti killed in Times Square stabbing

On September 1, a tragic stabbing incident occurred in Times Square, resulting in the death of Erin Piacenti, a 32-year-old Bank of America vice president. Piacenti worked in the business selection and conflicts unit of the bank. Her LinkedIn profile confirmed her position within the company. The bank released a statement expressing deep sorrow over the loss of such a valued teammate, stating that her family and loved ones are in their hearts.

The incident began when a woman, identified as Pamela Cisneros, armed with multiple knives, attacked two people in Times Square. The New York City Police Department (NYPD) apprehended Cisneros using a Taser and fired their weapons. The suspect, aged 49, was killed during the police response. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch reported that the attacks seemed random and unprovoked.

Piacenti's workplace, Bank of America's Manhattan office, is situated near Times Square at One Bryant Park. The bank operates several other locations across New York City, contributing to the financial heartbeat of the city. The NYPD is currently investigating the incident, with the Force Investigation Division leading the inquiry into the events of the stabbing.
