BNCMC Trains Staff In CPR Skills To Ensure Quick Response During Medical Emergencies | Video

Bhiwandi: The Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation (BNCMC) recently organized a CPR training program for its officers and employees to enhance their emergency response capabilities. The initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), aimed to equip the civic workforce with crucial life-saving skills.

Medical and Health Department officials emphasized that timely intervention following a cardiac arrest or sudden cardiac emergency is crucial, as the first few minutes can be critical. The training focused on instructing participants on identifying emergencies, conducting initial assessments, performing CPR, administering chest compressions, and seeking immediate medical assistance.

During the session, attendees received hands-on practice under the guidance of trainers, allowing them to perform CPR correctly and build confidence in emergency situations. The Municipal Commissioner has directed officials to conduct regular ward-wise CPR training programs across various municipal departments and health centres to ensure that employees across the civic jurisdiction are prepared to provide immediate assistance during emergencies.

The administration also discussed the potential for organizing a series of health-related awareness programs, including emergency first-aid training, health check-ups, and discussions on lifestyle-related diseases and mental health.
