Anthropic unveils Claude Fable 5.1, which is generally available, and Mythos 5.1, for trusted partners and with cybersecurity and life sciences safeguards (Anthropic)

Anthropic has unveiled two new advanced AI models: Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Mythos 5.1. While both models excel in coding and knowledge work, they differ in their research capabilities and the level of safeguards they offer. Claude Fable 5.1 is now generally available, while Claude Mythos 5.1 is restricted to specially selected partners due to its enhanced cybersecurity and life sciences safeguards.

The price of Claude Fable 5.1 is estimated to be 25% lower than its predecessor for typical workloads, mainly due to reduced pricing on cache reads. The new Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS) system ensures customer privacy by storing data in cloud infrastructure controlled entirely by the customer. With these improvements, Claude Fable 5.1 sets a new standard in coding, knowledge work, and long-running problem-solving tasks.
