ADIHEX 2026: Abu Dhabi Judicial Department raises awareness of hunting and equestrian laws

Abu Dhabi drivers can now potentially erase eight black points from their records for just Dh800, thanks to a new service being offered exclusively at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition. The initiative, available through a dedicated police platform at ADIHEX 2026, runs until September 6 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

The program is designed to make traffic services more accessible and encourage drivers to address violations while promoting compliance with road-safety rules. To take advantage of the service, motorists with eight to 23 black points must register, pay the required Dh800 fee, and complete a rehabilitation course. Upon completion, eight black points are removed from their traffic record.

This service is specifically for drivers with a point total between eight and 23. For those who have reached the 24-point limit and need to restore their driving licence, a separate program is available. Eligible drivers must pay Dh2,400 and complete a rehabilitation course for traffic-law offenders before their licence can be reinstated.

Police officials are urging eligible drivers to utilize the temporary platform before the exhibition concludes on September 6, emphasizing that the program aligns with the broader Smart Road Security strategic priority and the department's commitment to enhancing road safety. ADIHEX 2026, in its 23rd year, opened on August 28 and spans 15 sectors, including hunting, falconry, equestrianism, outdoor activities, and Emirati heritage.
