Abidjan Nkwanta to Kuntenase road to receive first coat of asphalt within two months – Bosomtwe DCE

The Bosomtwe District Chief Executive, Hamidu Abdullah, has announced that the road connecting Abidjan Nkwanta to Kuntenase in the Ashanti Region will have its first layer of asphalt within the next two months. The contractor has recently completed reshaping the abandoned section of the road leading to the lake and is now set to commence asphalt works following the completion of work on the Sewuah Hospital road.

Speaking to Adom News, the DCE expressed the government's commitment to the project's completion, requesting residents to remain patient and cooperate with the contractor. Abdullah noted that the completion of the road would alleviate significant issues faced by residents, especially those living along the Jachie-Kuntenase stretch, who have endured dust and poor road conditions for an extended period.

He assured that with the new asphalt, challenges such as dust and poor transportation conditions will no longer be an issue. However, some motorists have expressed concern over the contractor's infrequent presence at the site since the road reshaping, requesting the contractor to expedite the work to ease transportation in the region.
