2 Koreans make International Team for Presidents Cup

Kim Si-woo and Tom Kim have been selected for the International Team competing in the upcoming Presidents Cup, a biennial match play event contrasting non-European international players with American competitors. On Tuesday, the six automatic positions for the International Team were confirmed following the Tour Championship, the final PGA Tour playoff event of the season.

As the top-ranked International Team player, Kim Si-woo, ranked No. 13, is making his fourth appearance in the Presidents Cup. Tom Kim, ranked 30th, will be participating in his third Presidents Cup. The roster also includes Ryan Fox from New Zealand, Hideki Matsuyama of Japan, Min Woo Lee of Australia, and Adam Scott of Australia.

Kim Si-woo led the PGA Tour with 11 top-10 finishes this season, holds the record for 55 rounds in the 60s, and is also at the top with 66 rounds under par. Tom Kim, who won the Genesis Scottish Open in July, marked his return to title form as he secured his first victory since October 2023. Since then, he has achieved four top-20 finishes in six tournaments. The final Presidents Cup line-up will be determined this year.
