Youth Kills 65-Year-Old Grandfather Over Motorcycle Dispute On Raksha Bandhan In MP's Jabalpur

Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh: A tragic incident unfolded on Raksha Bandhan in the village of Imlai, under the jurisdiction of Panagar police station, when a 65-year-old man, Pyarelal Chaudhary, was allegedly killed by his grandson, Abhishek Chaudhary, over a minor dispute over a motorcycle. The elder man's family was gathered at their home in the Chaudhary locality to celebrate the festival when an argument erupted among family members regarding a motorcycle parked on a narrow passage. The disagreement quickly turned violent, leading to a physical altercation.

During the scuffle, Abhishek is alleged to have forcefully picked up his elderly grandfather and slammed him onto the hard concrete road, causing severe head injuries. Pyarelal suffered profuse bleeding and was immediately rushed to a hospital in Jabalpur, but efforts to save his life were unsuccessful; he succumbed to his injuries on the same day. The incident sparked shock and grief within the family and the village community, turning the festive occasion into a somber mourning.

DSP Vipin Bihari Singh, in-charge of the Panagar police station, stated that the incident occurred around 7 pm. The police suspect that some individuals involved in the altercation had consumed alcohol prior to the incident. Pyarelal's grandson, Abhishek, fled the scene immediately after the fatal altercation and is currently at large. Police have launched a search to locate the accused and are conducting raids to apprehend him.

The police have registered a murder case against Abhishek, but the exact sequence of events leading to the fatal incident is still under investigation. Authorities are working diligently to piece together the events and bring the accused to justice, while the ongoing investigation aims to uncover the full story behind this heart-wrenching tragedy.
