Your father not a good actor, he never appeared in solid movies – Yemi Solade to Isbae U [VIDEO]

Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has criticized his late colleague and father to social media personality Isbae U, Kamal Adebayo, known as Sir Kay, stating that he was not a good actor and never appeared in any significant movies. The statement was made on the latest episode of Isbae U's show 'Curiosity Made Me Asked'. Yemi expressed that he has chosen not to produce movies because he is not a risk taker, to which Isbae U responded by saying that people are taking risks with him by casting him in movies.

Yemi then asked Isbae U if his father had ever featured in a serious movie, to which Isbae U confidently replied that his father was a very good actor. Yemi disagreed, claiming that Sir Kay was merely a 'stuck actor' who played the role of a tout (a bouncer or doorman). When asked if Sir Kay was a good actor, Yemi bluntly responded, "No, no, he was not a good actor but he acted."

The interview came to an end with Isbae U stating that he couldn't fight Yemi's battle for him. Sir Kay, a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, was known for his unique slang and bad boy roles, passing away in December 2022.
