Yash’s mother hits back at Toxic hate, Allu Aravind’s comments: ‘Propaganda against my son’

Yash's mother, Pushpa Arun Kumar, responded angrily to producer Allu Aravind's old comments questioning her son's stardom prior to KGF. The remarks sparked controversy and went viral on social media during the mixed reception to the film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.

Pushpa passionately defended her son's journey, asserting that he was not an unknown individual but had already established himself as a successful star in Karnataka before KGF. She highlighted his decade-long career in Kannada cinema, mentioning successful films like Googly, Drama, Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari, Gajakesari, and Santhu Straight Forward.

Pushpa emphasized that Yash had built his career from scratch without any financial backing or familial connections to the industry, as his father was a KSRTC bus driver and his mother was a homemaker. Her son's rise to prominence was the result of his hard work in television work and a series of Kannada films.

Allu Aravind's initial comments were made at a promotional event a few years ago when he explained the shift from big-budget films to smaller projects due to rising production costs. When discussing the impact of star remuneration on budgets, Aravind pointed to Yash as an example, arguing that it was the scale of production, not the actor's popularity, that made KGF a blockbuster.

However, Yash addressed Aravind's remarks during Toxic promotional interviews, clarifying that while it was true, cinema belonged to not just producers but also the actors, whose hard work often goes unrecognized.

Pushpa accused some individuals of intentionally suppressing her son's career and spreading propaganda against Toxic. She expressed her distress at the coordinated effort to undermine Yash's standing and affirmed that as long as the audience continues to support him, no one can hinder his growth.
