US Strikes Iranian Rocket Launchers Near Strait Of Hormuz, Breaking Month-Long Military Lull As Tehran Vows Retaliation

On Sunday, US forces launched military strikes against Iranian rocket launchers near the Strait of Hormuz, marking their first military action in a month-long lull in the intermittent conflict. The Guard stated on state broadcaster that several fighters and compatriots were martyred or injured. Iran's state TV later showed ballistic missiles being fired at US bases in Jordan, which reportedly intercepted eight missiles that penetrated the country's airspace.

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei urged Gulf rulers to unite against the "real enemy." The US shift to economic pressure rather than military action aimed at ending its six-month war with Iran. This attack came days after the Trump administration announced its focus on economic sanctions against any country or entity that continues to do business with Iran.
