Una crisis, siete ministros y una ensalada de cifras sobre Ceuta

Spanish People’s Party leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo has accused inconsistencies within the government regarding the events in Ceuta. He asserted that "at least someone is lying, and I believe they are all lying," demanding that the director of the CNI appear before the Senate to "swear to tell the truth" about when intelligence services warned and what the government knew before the massive influx of migrants.

Feijóo also warned that "there will be consequences," announcing his party's participation in the judicial case opened in the National Court to hold accountable those responsible for the neglect. On the European front, Interior and Migration Commissioner Magnus Brunner confirmed that the European Union is already working to respond to Spain's request for support from Frontex and other European agencies for the triage of migrants remaining in Ceuta after a massive influx in July.
