Thai volleyballers bringing home Asian title and Olympic ticket

Thai volleyballers are set to return to Bangkok on Monday after claiming an impressive victory at the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship. The team, who defeated the favored China side in the final, have secured an automatic spot at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. This marks the third nation to earn a spot, following USA and Canada, highlighting the incredible achievement of the Thai team.

The thrilling match saw Thailand overturning a two-set deficit to defeat China 25-20, 11-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-10. This victory not only earned Thailand a coveted Olympic berth but also propelled the team up three spots in the world rankings, placing them at 14th globally.

Upon their return, the players are greeted by a host of fans eager to celebrate their success. Coach Kiatipong Ratchatakriengkrai and his team expressed their gratitude to supporters, praising their unwavering support in achieving this dream.
