Tepa Ankaase gets new odikro to foster unity and development

The people of Tepa Ankaase, located in the Ahafo Ano North Municipality of the Ashanti Region, have installed a new Odikro named Nana Kwadwo Addai Osei Bonsu I. This installation took place on August 28, 2023, at the Akwaboah Palace under the stool name Nana Kwadwo Addai Osei Bonsu I. The ceremony was presided over by the Otumfuo Akwaboahene, Nana Kusi Agyapong Appau I, and other local chiefs and elders.

Following the oath-taking, Nana Kusi Agyapong Appau I cautioned Nana Kwadwo Osei Bonsu I to serve the community with humility, truth, and dedication, while respecting the customs and traditions of Asanteman. The Akwaboahene also warned the new Odikro against the perils of illegal mining, emphasizing that such activities can devastate farmlands, water bodies, and impede development in the region and beyond.

Nana Kwadwo Osei Bonsu I expressed gratitude to God and his enstoolment's blessings, promising to work towards unity, youth empowerment, and community development. He urged residents to unite, respect one another, and traditional authority, putting aside any past differences for the sake of Ankaase's progress. Despite previous disputes and violence, the enstoolment ceremony drew a large crowd, signaling optimism about the new leadership's potential to attract development projects, improve education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
